"Studies have shown that some sea hares produce as many as 95 million eggs per month, for months on end. Scientists have calculated that if a single adult produced its normal load of eggs and all of the young were to survive and reproduce without predation, and so on and so forth, that in just over a year the Earth would be more than six feet (1.8 m) deep in sea hares.
